I want to get my own figure skates....how long do they last? And what brands are good?How long do figure skates usually last?
When I was competing (hence skating 3-4 hours every day) my skates would last about a year. I wore custom made Harlicks because my feet were too narrow for off the shelf boots.
When I went back to skating as an adult and only skated twice a week, I wore SP Terri's and they lasted me about 2 years so far.How long do figure skates usually last?
Usually about 6 months to 2 years, depending on what type of skates you have, how fast your feet grow, and how often you skate. Mine usually last about a year and I have Harlick skating boots and mk vision blades.
Any brand is good, it just depends on which feel the best on your feet. You probably want to find a pro shop near you that can help you find the right boot for you.
Take it from a figure skater with not only feet that are different sizes but also from someone whose feet have been royally messed up because of skating! If your feet don't have a distinctive arch, DO NOT get Harlicks. I have the most beautiful pair of Harlick custom made skates barely ever skated in because of that little known fact. Also, if you are skating recreationally they will last you about a 1 1/2 years. Also, some good advice: if you're younger and your feet are still growing then you should not get skates that you will ';grow into'; although this can be a money saver it is very bad for your feet. It can cause bone spurs and hammer toes. Skating is an amazing sport but it is so important that whoever fits you for skates does a good job. SP teri's are awesome skates and Graf skates are right up there as well. I would stay away from Riedell if you want to get competitive. Some good blades are Vision blades, whether you're doing double jumps or just starting your singles. Good Luck!

Donald jacksons and grafs are really good the only ones ive ever used and skates tend to last between a year and two years depending if your feet are done growing and home much u use them and the jumps u are doin the higher the jumps the faster you'll break them down
Ice skates usually 1/2 a year to a year it depends if u are like a real figure skater and u do jumps and stuff probably only a half year if u just want them to just go skating and just skate they'll probably last over a year or until u outgrow them. If u want a good brand riedell skates are really good so are Jackson skates but riedells brake in faster or if your really good custom made skates are awesome but if u just want a pair of skates my favorite are riedells there the bomb
They last for about two years. The best brand would be Artists.
If your feet are still growing, then your skates will not last long at all. If you are growing out of sizes quickly, then you do not want to get a really expensive pair that you will only wear for a couple of months before you need new ones. When your feet have stopped growing or are taking a break from growing, then you can get a really nice pair. I personally wear Riedell figure skates. I have had those for almost two years. Your skates will last as long as they are comfortable for you. The wear and tear of figure skating will not do any damage to them. They just might get a little scratched up. The more times a week that you skate, the less time that they will last. When you get your skates, make sure that you get them heat molded. That is when the skates are heated up and then you put them on for a few minutes, so that the skates mold to your feet. That way, they are much more comfortable for you.

The time to have sex to get pregnant is when you are very wet,slippery,and stretchy down there*******,alot of women's right or left side will hurt when the egg is released.******* You need to have sex atleast two or three times the week of ovulation to get preganant.*****VERY IMPORTANT! Stay laying down 30-45 minutes after sex DO NOT GET UP AT ALL.WAIT TO PEE!!! *****It takes 30-45 minutes for the sperm to reach the egg to fertilize it.Hope this helps!!:) Good luck****

You chart your mucus pattern and pay attention to your body and within a couple months you will know when you ovulate and when you get your period. I use this with my hubby and no birth control and we have successfully planned our two children exactly when we wanted them. I am a month pregnant and we were successful our first time trying. It takes some time and abstinence for the first couple months until you figures your pattern but it is well worth it! good luck and I really hope this helps.

Then you take your card odds, 3, and *multiply* that by your opponents wager. If your opponent bets 45 dollars you need to multiply 3 by 45.

In order to be able to figure out your pot odds you first need to figure out your card odds. First you take the number of outs that you are drawing to and divide into 45. Then you subtract 1. Let's say you have 12 outs.
45 / 12 - 1 = 2.75 (round up to 3 to make it easy)
Then you take your card odds, 3, and *multiply* that by your opponents wager. If your opponent bets 45 dollars you need to multiply 3 by 45.
3 x 45 = 135
The TOTAL pot must have more than your answer to be able to call.
* Remember that the total pot includes all raises or calls before it's your turn to act. Don't /just/ look at the chips at the very center of the table--include all bets, raises and calls.
If the pot only contains 135 dollars then you are in a break even situation (in the long run). If the pot contains, for example, 200 dollars then you are in a profitable situation (in the long run). You may, of course lose the hand, but if you always play this way then you will see a profit.
Remember that getting the ';right'; odds to call does not mean that you /should/ call. If your opponent is on a bigger straight-draw and/or flush-draw you're drawing dead and should fold the hand. How to figure out if you have a broken tailbone/how to ease the pain?
so at camp this summer i think i broke my tailbone on this giant slip and slide thing..and it hurt for like 6 months after that(still is hurting) and today when i was sledding i re-ingured it.
so, is there a way to tell if it's broken?

Ok, I can only remember vague details. There were to main characters, both female. One was brunette and I remember the other was blonde with a blue dress. I remember at one point one of the characters got stuck in a well, and another was that she had to fight a giant scorpion. It was sort of based in the desert and it was kind of an adventure game. I am wanting to move from Kentucky to a different state. Actually Florida for many reasons. When I was on a trip to France, our school trip stopped by this one restaurant. Since we never got to choose what we wanted to eat, they ordered for us. So they ordered some sort of pizza (which I'm wondering what it's called and how to make it). It was a flat bread pizza that was really crisp. (There wasn't any grill marks.) On top was cheese, onions (not sweet onions, just white), and cubed ham. There's no tomato sauce or any sauce.
Then there was a dessert pizza that was the same flat bread pizza with apple slices and an apple sauce (kind of like what Pizza Hut does).Help me figure out what the name of this dish is?
Definitely TARTE FLAMBE, it is Alsatian specialty. You can use Pizza dough, just roll it very thinly. Add fromage blanche, thinly slice sweet onion, and bacon. Bake to a very hot oven (475-500F) for about 15 minutes. Even better if you have Pizza stone.
It is so easy to make. As for Fromage Blanche, if you can't find it in your area, you can substitute with equal part of creme fraiche and cream cheese. Good Luck!Help me figure out what the name of this dish is?

It is like pizza in that a thin crust of dough is baked In a very hot oven but its topping is primarily cr猫me fra卯che, onions, and bacon. Like many traditional regional dishes there are innumerable ways of preparing it. Here is one example:
Ingredients:
Starter for the Dough
录 cup flour
录 cup moderately hot water, about 110 degrees
1 tablespoon sugar
1 package yeast
Dough
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
录 cup beer
6 tablespoons (录 cup plus 2 tablespoons) milk
Covering
2 tablespoons oil
1 medium onion (3 ounces), finely chopped
1 cup cr猫me fra卯che
陆 teaspoon salt
录 teaspoon pepper
4 pinches nutmeg
3 ounces bacon, cut into matchsticks
Procedure
Mix the starter ingredients together in a small bowl, cover tightly, and set aside in a warm place for 30 minutes.
When the starter is light and bubbly, mix the beer and milk into the mixture.
Put the flour and salt into a food processor, then, with the motor running, add the yeast mixture through the feeding tube. Process the dough until it forms a ball. Add very small amounts of additional flour or milk if necessary.
Process the ball until it is smooth, elastic, and warm, about 45 seconds to 1 minute.
Butter a medium-sized bowl, roll the ball around in the butter, then cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled. Punch down and let rise a second time.
While the dough is rising, heat 1 tablespoon of the oil in a nonstick skillet. Add the onion and cook, stirring, over low heat for 5 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool.
Combine the cr猫me fra卯che, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Add the cooled onion.
Heat the remaining oil in the skillet and fry the bacon until lightly browned, stirring constantly. Remove and drain through a strainer.
Heat the oven to 450 degrees.
Oil a 14 x 16 inch baking sheet. Roll the dough until slightly smaller than the baking sheet. Place it on the sheet.
Spread the onion mixture over the dough, leaving a very small raised rim all the way around, then dot with the bacon.
Bake for 20 minutes, or until the tart is lightly browned.
NOTE: To make cr猫me fra卯che, combine 1 cup heavy cream with 2 tablespoons buttermilk, stir, cover with plastic wrap, and leave at room temperature for 12 to 24 hours, or until it has become very thick. Refrigerate, and it will become even thicker.
How to Serve :
Serve very hot on a flat wooden board so it can easily be cut up.

INGREDIENTS:
2 small Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and halved
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
2 Tablespoons fresh lemon juice
2 Tablespoons unsalted butter
1 frozen puff pastry sheet, thawed
PREPARATION:
1. Cut the apple halves crosswise into very thin (about 1/16th) slices. Place in a bowl.
2. Bring water, sugar, lemon juice and butter to a boil in a small saucepan, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
3.Pour immediately over the apples and turn them until they are slightly wilted.
4. Drain the apples in a colander that is set over a bowl to catch the syrup. Pour syrup back into saucepan, set aside.
5. Preheat oven to 425掳.
6. Roll out the pastry on a lightly floured surface, into a 12-1/2 inch square.
7. Cut out 4 6-inch rounds and place then on a lightly buttered baking sheet.
8. Top the rounds with the apples, overlapping the slices.
9. Bake in the middle of the oven for about 25 minutes.
10. Boil the reserved syrup until reduced to about 1/3 cup. Brush on the baked tarts while they are warm.
To serve:
Best served warm.
Maybe they made it on tortilla wraps. My friend made one and it was awesome and crispy.

Can you figure out a horses weight?
Is there a way to figure out a rough estimate of your horses weight? I know with our 4H pigs and sheep there was a measurement we could do to ';guess-timate';. I don't want to take them down to the vet just to have them weighed and curious if someone knew some way to figure it out. My TB is almost 17h and my Arabian is 14.2.Can you figure out a horses weight?
They make weight tapes to measure a horse's weight. You put the tape on their girth line, and bring it all the way around them, over their back and then read teh weight that is their.

go to your local feed or tack store and buy a weight tape. It is basically a tape measure that goes around the horse's girth area and will give you a decent estimate of the horses weight. The weight tape is only like 2 dollars - a good investment.

We do it a little easier around here. We know the empty weight of the trailer and load the horse up, take it to town, and run the trailer across the grain elevator scale to get an estimate. You can also unload your horse then weigh the empty trailer to get a true weight. The scale is +- 50 lbs and the manager is really cool. He leaves the scale display turned so we can see the weight even when the elevator is closed. The local truckers like it too, to double check their weights.
I do think a horse weighs more when they step on your feet!
The weight tape idea is a good one. Also, you can use a regular sewing tape measure. The formula for that would be (heart girth x heart girth x length) divided by 330. Heart girth is measured all the way around the body in the area approximately where the girth lies and just behind the withers. The length is measured from the point of the shoulder to the point of the buttocks.
Just remember that all of these are inaccurate, but better than nothing. You can have discrepancies of up to 100 pounds or more.

CEO's may receive unlimited company-paid benefits
CEO's may receive unlimited expense accounts

CEO's may sign contracts for any amount of stock options, which is usually the largest portion of any CEO payment package.
(These limits have been set by President Obama's new stimulus package for bailing out failing companies.)
