Without a picture, my guess would be a Ginger Gold which is an early Golden Delicious. These tend to to look a little greener than a Golden Del, but not as green as a Granny Smith. Grannies are a tart apple while the Ginger Gold and Golden Del are sweet,

Besides Granny Smith apple since it is the obvious one,could it be Reinette ?

They could be Golden Delicious apples, which are great eating apples--they are sweet and juicy.
It's definitely not Granny Smith's. They are too tart.





It's most likely Golden Delicious or Ginger Golds, although they have some red on them.
