How to figure out the area of a trapezoid?

Yes I know math sucks but whatever.... if the top was 2 cm, the bottom was 4 centimeters and the height is 6 cm. HELP PLEASE!How to figure out the area of a trapezoid?
im pretty sure its 1/2 (b1+b2)h

it has been a while but I think the formula


is


[(top + bottom)height]/2


that is add the top and bottom


multiply that sum by the height


then divide that product by 2

I believe its base 1 + base 2 , then multiplied by the height and divided by 2. That's what got me through those types of problems in Geometry last year.
