How did you know/figure out what your job/passion is?

So I've never trully known what I want to do, I'm in uni doing a course I don't like but just to get a degree.

Don't know what I'm good at, don't know what my talents are and can't find my passion.

How did you know that the job you're holding is what you meant to be doing?

ThanksHow did you know/figure out what your job/passion is?
If you can't find your passion, then pull back and just list the things you Like to do.

Love to watch movies and play video games all day long? go to work at a video store and go to design school for games if you have that talent.

Love animals? Go that route.

You will be good at what you are happy doing to find the things that make you happy. How did you know/figure out what your job/passion is?
Have you ever visited a recruiting station before? I'm speaking about an ARMY, NAVY, AIR FORCE, MARINE or COAST GUARD office. These types of places are great for narrowing your career goals down. They have these tests that you can take for free, unlike college campuses which may charge you to take such a test, a military recruiting station offers such testing for free, and it is legit. Just don't let them bribe you into something you are not comfortable with doing. Use the experience to reinforce what you wanted to do in the first place, because I think you already know. Having the testing will only reinforce your inner desires. One exception is that if FASHION is what you want, the recruiting station won't provide you with the answer. BUT, I'd challenge you to do it anyway. Good Luck.!!!
I'm only 16 and i'm afriad i'll end up like you. I honestly dont know what i want to do, and have never known. It makes me jealous when i hear people planning their future and exactly what they want to do. Maybe the problem with us is that we dont want to like anything, maybe we just feel like we hate everything. Because honestly, i feel like i dont like anything. I basically have no interests nore any favourite subjects but i'm beginning to feel that maybe its only because i dont want to like any of them. I hate doing homework and thats what makes me hate all of the subjects. Everytime i think i like something i begin hating it after a while. Maybe you should just try harder at seeing more into things? Thats what i'm trying to do. I took cosmetology as an elective course and i started off liking it, then when i began sucking at curling hair, i began giving up, but my friend kept encouraging me in my class, and i ended up with an 80% mark on the curling while other girls got 70's. I felt pretty proud of myself, and now i like it again. I think its all about trying and wanting to do good. You can't discourage yourself. I tend to give up VERY easily, and once i fail once i never want to try again. But after some encouragement from friends i realized: i;m not as bad i thought. Maybe thats the problem with you. You can take online career quizzes, but they probably wont help, as they never helped me. Basically, i guess you just got to believe that you will succeed. Knowing what career you want is knowing what you want to try hard in, i noticed. People choose their own interests, no one is born naturally with interests, you choose them. There is no career meant for you: you choose what career you want. I guess you know that the job you have is meant for you when you dont get bored easily from it. For example, my drama teacher i know for a fact HATES his job because he's never enthusiastic about anything and he's always moody, while my cosmetology teacher loves his job because he goes crazy over teaching us everything. Good luck with everything, and hopefully you find the job you love soon!!!
I really just had to keep trying things out before I settled down with something I could put my heart into.
