Thanks!Help!? I'm trying to figure out how many minutes and seconds are in a section of an aeronautical chart.?
Each mark on a sectional is 1 second of lat or long.

60 sec = 1 minute, 60 min = 1degreeHelp!? I'm trying to figure out how many minutes and seconds are in a section of an aeronautical chart.?
Just to add to the already correct information,

at the equator,

1掳 of Longitude is 69.17073 miles

1' (1 minute) of Longitude (1/60th of 1掳) is1.1528 miles

1'; (1 second) of Longitude is only 101.45 feet

this value varies depending on your Latitude (but not your Longitude).
Well I was going to answer, but aerostar beat me to it. Good job!
